Medicare
Turning 65, retiring, or reviewing your plan for next year.
Original Medicare (Parts A & B)
Hospital and medical coverage from the federal government. You can see any provider that takes Medicare.
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
Private plans that replace Original Medicare. Often include drug coverage and extras like dental and vision, usually with a provider network.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap)
Works alongside Original Medicare to cover deductibles and coinsurance. Paired with a separate Part D plan.
Part D
Prescription drug coverage. Costs depend heavily on which drugs you take and where you fill them.
When you can enroll
Your Initial Enrollment Period is the 7 months around your 65th birthday. After that, most changes happen during Annual Enrollment, October 15 to December 7.
